Jackie Robinson George Shuba Handshake for the Century Commemorative Statue Unveiling

On July 17, 2021, the city of Youngstown, Ohio, was gifted an over life sized statue commemorating the historic “Handshake for the Century” photo of teammates, Jackie Robinson and George Shuba. Storm Kirschenbaum, served as special advisor to the Robinson Shuba Commemorative Statue Committee and also represented Michael Shuba, son of the late George Shuba and Artist of the statue, Marc Mellon.
